November 2009 Twitter Contest Winners

The monthly Twitter contest is back and we have 3 winners! We stated, "We now have 4 "frequency" options when setting up a recurring contribution to your goal. Name one." We had all correct answers (you can contribute monthly, twice-monthly, every 14 days and none), from over 120 people - we had a big list to randomize!

Since it's almost Thanksgiving, we decided to hunt some turkeys for our 3 $100 gift card winners:

Wednesday State Fair Twitter Contest

 

Iowa State Fair

It's day three of the weeklong twitter contest in honor of the world famous Iowa State Fair!

SmartyPig is giving away 3 - $100 gift cards every day this week in honor of the world famous Iowa State Fair (Home of the Butter Cow, birthplace of the corn dog - and only a cow chip toss away from SmartyPig's corporate offices!). We will tweet a question and give our followers 15 minutes to reply to us.

The format:

  1. After 15 minutes, we will be picking 3 random winners with a number generator from the pool of correct answers.
  2. We'll post the winners here on our blog.

Make sure:

  • You're following us on Twitter.
  • We'll ask the $100 question everyday this week at 3 pm CST.
  • Answer the question correctly for your chance to win part of $1,500 in prizes!

Remember: if you don't already have a SmartyPig account, it's free to set one up! Winner must be in the US.

February Twitter Contest Winners

Did you know you can search for friends' public goals on SmartyPig? This month, we asked you to name one goal that co-founder Mike Ferrari is saving for. There were a number of correct answers, as he has 6 savings goals - ranging from 'saving to save', 'a trip to Italy', 'home improvement' and a 'family iMac'.

January Twitter Contest Winners

In our January Twitter contest, we asked about the new features that we are going to roll out in 2009, based on a blog post from 2009 and the tweeps had to name one. There were two possible answers: 

  1. New mobile application (we accepted iPhone app) and
  2. integration with sites like Mint, Geezeo, Wesabe, Rudder, Yodlee and more.

We went back to our tried and true method of picking winners - here's the video:
