There may be times while saving for your goal, that you receive contributions from friends and family or you choose to add additional funds to your goal in addition to your recurring monthly contributions. These "extra" funds actually put you ahead of schedule. At SmartyPig we're looking out for you. And when situations like this arise, we will tell you when you can safely lower your monthly contribution and still hit your goal by the date you originally specified.
