Up until last week, I was saving for the down payment on a vacation home in Mexico. I'm now rethinking the location but still saving.

I'm trying to save money to make-up the difference in financial aid and full tuition for my PhD program *sigh* Definitely a work in progress!

My wife and I are saving for a few different things:
1. Our 3 kids college educations (talk about WOW)
2. G.O.O.D Plan (Get Out Of Debt)
3. A family trip to Disney World for a family reunion (I just found out that I had 3 sisters I didn't even know about - see blog for further detail)

I'm saving for a 1974 Vespa so I can enjoy North Carolina's weather a little more on my morning commute, along with a new iMac so I can retire my 4+ year old PowerBook, a new bed and my emergency fund.

I'm saving for our upcoming trip to Greece along with a few other things (emergency savings, "new" car, etc).

I'm saving to fulfill a 15 year trip with my best friends in order to pay for our hotel expenses. I thought it would jump start a decade and a half dream.

A car ... I want a new car!! I would like to do my part to help stimulate the economy, and in particular, our local auto industry. I have a goal, and I'm almost half way there. I'm so glad I found Smarty Pig!!

With the recession I can't find a job and I'm graduating in a few weeks. So I'm saving money to open my own company, or if some lucky chance I get a job the money I save can be put towards getting my masters.

I am in love with SmartyPig! I have many accounts and am starting to build an emergency fund and am saving for something special!

2. 6-month auto insurance premium
3. A new Canon 5D

I'm saving up for medical school....trying to think about ways to avoid being $150K in debt from student loans after graduating. Every little but helps.

Much needed lasik surgery

Saving up for finalizing our daughter's adoption. We're saving up the last of the funds, and she'll become a US Citizen in August when we meet our goal and file our papers. Yay!

After successfully helping us save for our honeymoon and a new laptop, my wife and I are saving for a down payment on our first house, a couple of new bikes, and some new furniture to put into that house.

Lots of things! My brother's wedding is a destination wedding in a few years, so I'll need some money for that. Also, I know I'll need a new (new to me, anyway!) car at some point down the road, so I'm saving for that. And lots of little things in between.

My grandson is on the autism spectrum. He is very smart and doing well in a small classroom setting. Later he will need to go to a school that will be able to help and encourage him further in his socialization.Hopefully he'll be able to go to college and live the American Dream. Smarty Pig has been a wonderful vehicle for this concerned Grandma to help our whole family enable Warner to be a blessings to not only us, but to others as well.

My partner and I had a tree fall on our house. Insurance will cover most of it, but our Smarty Pig savings will help us do those little things that insurance won't cover.

I am saving for my car insurance premium and XMas. I will be adding others once I am done with my debt snowball. =o)

I've only been out of college for a year and am proud to say that between October and April, I saved $1,000 for a Summer trip (which is going to turn into a few trips bc I found great travel deals) and I've already received my supercute SmartyPig mastercard :)
Immediately upon accomplishing that goal (which feels great), I started another to save some money for the expenses of being a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding this October.
I've also been working on a 'New Car' (really a good used car) goal and am well on my way to reaching it. I couldn't have saved up this much without the motivation and gentle nudge that SmartyPig gives me! Thanks for helping me manage my money well, in the first year that I actually have some!! It's nice to know that I'm not going any further into debt, and the debt that I do have is just in college loans (which I'm working on as well). SmartyPig is wonderful and I recommend it to anyone who's trying to save money for something special, no matter what it is :D

My wife and I are saving for an anniversary trip to New York City. We've always wanted to go, but could never buy the trip just "on a whim." New TV for my new apartment in fall of 2010!

I just started saving for my wedding reception. My fiance and I are paying for everything ourselves and this is a great way to plan ahead and set money aside. I love smartypig!

My girlfriend and I are using smarty pig to encourage each other to save for our Wyoming and Montana "scouting" trip this summer. We currently live in SF and hope to relocate next summer. This summer were flying into Jackson, WY, renting a jeep to explore the great west. Smarty pig is great because we can track each others progress to encourage more saving.

I'm saving for a few things... 1) my husband is a carpenter... this economy hasn't been kind to him so I'm hoarding all extras! 2) By best friend is getting married in Grand Cayman in November and I'm her maid of honor... I'd like to be able to stay for longer than just the wedding! 3) We're hoping to move to North Carolina this summer if our house sells and we'll both have to find work - who knows how long that will take in this economy! 4) Christmas gifts.

For my best friend's wedding in the Dominican Republic! It is going to be a week long celebration and is going to cost more than the average wedding. Seeing how I am one of his groomsmen, I had to start saving so I could attend.
