December 2010 Twitter and Facebook Contest

The holiday season is here, and we want to spread some holiday cheer! We’ll be giving away three $100 gift cards on Friday, December 17 at 1:00 pm CST.

Pay close attention to our Twitter and Facebook pages tomorrow! We will tweet/post a trivia question and give our followers 15 minutes to reply for a chance to win.

The format:

  1. After 15 minutes, we will randomly pick 20 people from the pool of correct answers.
  2. Everyone’s old favorite, Ingrid, will select three gift card winners.
  3. We’ll post a video of the slection process here on our blog, so everyone can follow along!

Make sure:

  1. You’re following us on Twitter or are a fan on Facebook
  2. We’ll ask the $100 question on Friday, December 17 at 1:00 pm CST.
  3. Answer the question correctly for your chance to win!
  4. If you answer via Facebook, you will need to email us the answer (email to be provided at contest time) within the 15 minute time frame.

Remember: if you don’t already have a SmartyPig account, it’s free to get started! Winner must be in the US.

$100 Gift Card Giveaway on Twitter: Part Two!

For the second time SmartyPig will be giving away three $100 gift cards on Twitter. Don\’t miss out on your chance to win and boost your savings for that summer getaway, new HDTV, a head start on holiday gifts, or whatever you\’re saving for. In our last Twitter contest, we picked the first three people with the correct answer and realized that wasn\’t giving everyone enough of a chance to win. This time, we\’ll be leaving the contest open for 10 minutes, so everyone has ample time to answer. This is how we\’ll choose the winners:

  1. After 10 minutes, we will be picking 20 random people with a number generator from the pool of correct answers.
  2. We will then pin those 20 names into the 20 slots of a dartboard.
  3. While blindfolded, we will throw darts and three lucky winners of a $100 SmartyPig gift card will be chosen.
  4. We\’ll post the process here on our blog, so everyone can see it!
